Landform Surveys secures two major highway contract wins in past month

Following on from a challenging year for many, we’ve been working hard to secure some great projects for 2021.

In the past, we’ve helped out with many highway surveys such as this project we did on the A18 in North Lincolnshire, and back when we surveyed A19 Teesside, A66 Yarm and A19 Jarrow all in the first half of a year! So both us and the clients knew we were well-experienced in the area when we were given two major highways contracts in the past few weeks.

First of all, we have been granted the surveying project of A595 Bothel in Cumbria, our biggest project to date. This is a 6km stretch of road which we will be surveying using our full range of skills and equipment. The project will include a topographic survey, utilities survey, river channel survey, and structure elevations. The data that we’ll be providing will inform a raft of road improvements scheduled for the section of highway.

The second project is surveying 6km of the A690 Houghton le Spring road for the provision of cycle lanes. We’ll be using laser scanning methods to minimise traffic management requirements and road closures, using our equipment to assess the feasibility and design of cycle lanes and what must be considered before they’re implemented.

The team is looking forward to two great projects that we can get our teeth stuck into, using our full range of skills and equipment to deliver excellent results.
